Demolition Man

I was in South L.A. for the demolition of an apartment building that had been overrun by gangs. It was one of the hottest days of the year, bright sun, and the contrasts and color were great. It was also kind of cool to watch the thing come down.

I Love Sunset

The Boulevard, that is. Best street in the city, and some day I plan to drag a camera or two from its start downtown all the way to the beach and take a long hard look at the diversity of the city through this one winding street. Meantime, I snap off a few from the car driving home, like this one with the Holga from a few weeks ago.

I find myself longing for a little color, and so have pulled out the digital SLR and warmed that up. Stay tuned.
